Constructional details
Body: Basic body of safe is made of 5mm thick tough steel plate, having 16 bends with round corners, without any rivets suitably strengthened. Back Plate is fully welded to body to form one piece construction. The inner case is made of 2.5mm thick crc steel sheet suitably reinforced & anchored to the main body. The thickness of double barrier compound is 95mm on all five sides which offers fire as well as burglar resistance as per IS:550:1991.
Door: The more frequently attacked portion of the safe is the door. The door is constructed form heavy thick & tough steel plates reinforced with drill, hammer & oxy acetylene resisting plates & a thick ms plate. The total thickness of the door with barrier material is 135mm to 150mm.
Bolt work & locking mechanism: Depending on the size, models of Vega have a varying number of retractable shooting bolts as indicated in table of specifications. The locking mechanism is operated by on handle in the front & controlled by superior quality dual control, high precision 8 lever lock. These locks are unpick able & only the original keys will open them. Special care is taken to give substantial protection to the shooting bolts by the jamb of the body on either of the same, making it virtually impossible to dislodge the door by cutting through the hinges.
Automatic relocking device: 
A standard feature on all models of Vega, fire & burglar resisting safes, this sensitive device is triggered off when on attack is attempted on the main lock through the key hole, either with the help of oxy-acetylene flame or carbide tipped drill. This device automatically actuated when the safe breaker tampers with or attack lock with sledge hammer or any other instrument. All the key locks are guarded by this unique automatic key locking feature.
Fire resistance:
Suitable insulation is provided between the door frame & front flanges of the inner body to ensure protection against flow of heart from outer to inner fire resistance confirm to IS 550.

Finish: All surfaces before painting are thoroughly degreased or cleaned of rust & scale by shot blasting or pickling. This is followed by high grade zinc epoxy primer followed by polyurthane top coat.

VEGA fire & burglar safe (class B) have successfully withstood fire endurance, fire impact & burglary test as per IS 550 carried out by CBRI Roorkee, India
